Maya holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Universita’ Degli Studi di Ferrara, Italy in 2004. She is a licensed pharmacist at the Italian Board of Pharmacy and the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists. She is also a core member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) International Pharmacovigilance Group (IPVG) & a Co-author of an international publication on “Effective PV System Development” co-authored in collaboration with other Pharmacovigilance experts from Pharma industry under the umbrella of EFPIA IPVG. Maya has extensive trainings and certifications in pharmacovigilance,medical safety & compliance.

Maya has 17 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. She has diversified hands on experience in the Medical and Drug Safety domain in Middle East & Africa, Russia-CIS,across the Pharma and Consumer Healthcaresectors.Maya works closely with key stakeholders in Regulatory Arena along with representing Pharmacovigilance in relevant industry associations and forums.

Maya is also a big advocate for women leadership & empowerment and have participated to different women development leadership programs as alumni and guest panellist.
